APPLICATION: The fundamental principle of Whole Body Vibration training is to create a response from the mechanical movement of a vibrating platform. The platform creates vibration by pivoting from a centre tilting axis. When a user places their weight on the platform, their own body weight acts as resistance to the forces caused by the vibrating platform. This action induces voluntary muscle contractions, but also induces involuntary muscle contractions such as those within the digestive system. When training on a vibrating platform using frequencies from 22 up to 28Hz, over 80% of muscle fibers may be contracted, in comparison using conventional weight training that number is closer to 50%. When we train in the gym using conventional training, we do this by contracting our muscles and relaxing them over and over again with some sort of load for resistance. That load can be created with weights, hydraulic machines or by simply using your own body weight to create a load e.g. push up's. When using the HyperVibe vibrating platform you can induce muscle contractions up to 28 times per second.
This is why a full workout on a vibration platform can be achieved in a very short period of time, and also one reason why you should not exceed the recommended vibration trainng workout durations.

At low speeds, the gentle rocking action of the platform improves your balance and stability. How often can I use HyperVibe Whole Body Vibration machines?
This question depends upon a number of factors. However, as a general rule, we recommend you use the HyperVibe only 10 minutes a session and no more than 3 to 4 sessions a week, when using the machine at frequecies above 14Hz. Below 15Hz, those limitations do not apply, and the machine can be used more often.
Why is the Hyper500 the most affordable, quality built machine on the market?
The Whole Body Vibration machine industry is still relatively new and is often very confusing. It is possible to pay many thousands of dollars for a machine that is no better than a machine that costs a fraction of the price. Some machines are produced on a very small scale and hence the production costs are enormous, imagine how much your car would cost if the factory only produced a few dozen cars a year. Many of these machines are excellent products, however not everyone can afford many thousands of dollars for a quality unit. Worse yet, some companies are taking advantage of the high priced market and are selling mass produced machines for the price. HyperVibe sell machines that are produced on a large scale to keep the retail price low, but have carefully designed a quality unit to give all the features of a high end machine.

Yes, our products come packed in a box. There is minimal assembly in most cases and we provide detailed assembly instructions.

Do I have to have an instructor with me to know how to exercise safely?
No, HyperVibe is the first company to offer a comprehensive instructional exercise DVD that has been designed by health experts. The DVD demonstrates a wide range of positions you can adapt into your whole body vibration program, and gives you detailed information about correct posture, safety and effectiveness of each position. So you will feel like you have your own personal instructor there with you all the time.
I am a fit active person can I start my whole body vibration training using maximum force?
We strongly recommend each individual start using their whole body vibration machine on a low Hz/low amplitude level and familiarise themselves with the machine and the safe exercise positions shown in the user manual or DVD. You can then build up the Hz and amplitude levels to a setting that is suitable for you.
What are the different vibration platforms on the market?
There are basically 2 types of vibration platforms available today, pivotal platforms and vertical platforms. A pivotal unit vibrates from a centre tilting axis, much like a see-saw. A vertical unit vibrates straight up and down, much like a jack hammer. There are other variations of vertical units, such as three dimensional vibration, but whether there are any benefits from such vibration remains unclear.
Marketing practices by some companies are questionable, and will suggest that one platform is much better than the other. We at HyperVibe believe both platform types have their benefits, but have chosen the pivotal platform for a number of reasons. One reason, there is very little if any, balance improvement benefits on a vertical platform. Another reason, research shows that vertical vibration causes significantly more vibration in the head, where the vibration from a pivotal unit is dampened through the pelvis. Vibration in the head should be avoided and is not a pleasant feeling, we believe a pivotal unit has a much more natural feeling. We have chosen a pivotal unit based only on our personal preferences and feedback from others. You might prefer the vibration of a vertical plate rather than a pivotal, so we advise uncertain buyers to find the nearest gym, studio, or physiotherapist, and try both first.
Are all Whole Body Vibration machines the same?
No, there are numerous factors that make one machine different from another. The above answer discusses the different types of vibration plate, so that is definitely one factor.
Other factors include:
Home or Commercial – This one is self explanatory, but basically a commercial unit will be built for heavy usage, has more heavy duty features such as larger platforms and motors, whereas a good home unit will produce similar effects but is not designed for heavy usage, and therefore will have lighter features such as smaller platforms and smaller motors.
Range of variables – The two variables of a vibration platform are frequency (Hz) and amplitude (displacement). Some machines offer very limited variables, whilst others have a large range. Naturally a large range of variables is better, as it gives a user more choice. When selecting a pivotal unit, make sure the unit can at least reach around 25Hz, and has a maximum displacement of at least 10mm.
Programs and instructions – We have found a number of machines have built in programs that are essentially useless, programs should be frequency specific, not just random speeds. Having a quality machine is only half the battle, if you don’t have good instructions. HyperVibe have a team of qualified health professionals that have designed and instructed safe and effective positions and are on hand to give advice.
Can all members of my family use the Hyper500?
Unfortunately no, we do not recommend children use the machine as Whole Body Vibration can be a form of weight training, which is not recommended for children.

Can the Whole Body Vibration replace my entire fitness program?
In most cases no, we recommend you use the machine to compliment your weekly cadiovascular exercise program. This of course depends on your fitness ability, goals, and medical conditions, and what you expect from your fitness program. For those who cannot, or do not, incorporate any type of cardiovascular exercise into their current fitness program, then yes, Whole Body Vibration could certainly replace your entire program.
How do I go about getting a Tax Invoice?
Your item will have an invoice attached to the packaging when it is delivered.
Can I change or cancel my order once Submitted?
Once your order is placed it is sent electronically to our warehouse and dispatch centre for pick, pack and shipping. We use the latest in technology to enable us to process and ship orders really quickly and in some cases it may only be a matter of hours from the time you place your order until the time it is shipped. Until your order is submitted to the warehouse we can make changes to it, but unfortunately after this point we cannot change or cancel it.
If you have placed an order and you wish to change or cancel it, please call us immediately (or if you order out of our business hours: Mon - Fri 9am to 5pm Sydney time - then call as soon as we reopen) on 1800 HyperV and hopefully we will be able to accommodate your request before the order is submitted for dispatch.

Which Carrier/Courier do you use?
The service we use for most of our deliveries is Star Track Express, it is a receipted delivery service. With this service Star Track Express will deliver your item to your nominated delivery address. If no one is home, they will leave a card stating that your item is available for you to collect from your local depot. This service does NOT allow us to deliver to Post Office Boxes. We also fully insure all delivery shipments. In the unlikely event your item is lost in transit, we will lodge an insurance claim on the buyers behalf.
